PRIORITY WORLDWIDE OPENS NEW OFFICE IN THE UK

PRIORITY WORLDWIDE OPENS NEW OFFICE IN THE UK

Priority Worldwide is a global freight forwarding and logistics company with offices across 16 countries. Headquartered in Hanover, Maryland, the company has been expanding office openings outside of North America in recent years.

Priority Worldwide is pleased to have opened a new office in the UK, which is now open for trading. The office is primarily a commercial and project logistics office and will support further European expansion and is backed up by the company’s global operations center in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The UK office is based in Plymouth, South West England, which is famous for Sir Francis Drake, the first Englishman to sail into the Pacific and in 1577, for the first-ever circumnavigation of the globe. The office has a great view over Sutton Harbor with views out to the Barbican, the famous lighthouse and the Plymouth Hoe.

Stuart Smith is one of the Directors of the UK office, which he combines with his global role of managing the company’s interaction with the Humanitarian & Emergency sector.

Stuart commented on the office opening:

“It’s nice to be back home after several years living overseas in Canada and I am excited about working with new partners in the UK for the highly specialized type of work that Priority Worldwide excels in. It also feels apt that we set up our office in Plymouth, with its history of the Pilgrims boarding the Mayflower vessel in 1620 to sail to the Americas, where they established a new Plymouth community after landing at the tip of Cape Cod. It’s about as close as you could possibly get to the USA!”
