Priority Worldwide Introduces CO2 KG Emission Calculator to Enhance Sustainability Efforts
Priority Worldwide is committed to providing the ultimate customer experience in global logistics. We further commit to limit our impact on the fragile ecosystem that we live in through concrete, measurable actions.
Transportation and logistics activities are responsible for an estimated 8-10% of global GHG emissions. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to planetary warming. This process contributes to irreversible global warming and climate change. Reducing these emissions is essential for mitigating the impacts of climate change. Calculating and reporting GHG emissions is a critical initial step in this effort.
Priority Worldwide is proud to announce the integration of a CO2 KG Emission Calculator too. This cutting-edge tool is designed to help businesses measure and manage their carbon footprint. Adding this tool for our clients further reinforces our commitment to environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation.
The CO2 KG Emission Calculator provides a comprehensive analysis of transport distances, energy consumption by transport mode, CO2 and CO2 equivalents, and various air pollutants. By presenting the total energy consumption in CO2 kilograms, this tool offers an actionable metric for understanding and reducing carbon emissions.
The calculation results can be used to determine the CO2 footprint, support informed decision making, meet regulatory compliance, develop new strategies, or for benchmarking purposes. Transparent reporting engages stakeholders and demonstrates accountability and commitment to sustainability.
“At Priority Worldwide, we recognize that we are part of an industry that produces a huge carbon footprint. We also recognize the urgent need to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” said Lauren Priddy, Director of Compliance. “The CO2 KG Emission Calculator empowers our clients to take meaningful steps toward sustainability by providing the data needed to make informed decisions and track progress.”
The introduction of this tool aligns with our broader sustainability goals and initiatives, including our pledge to the UN Global Compact. Our company joined the UN Global Compact in 2023 and is committed to yearly reporting on 10 sustainability principles, including those covering environmental impact. By equipping our clients with this advanced calculator, we aim to foster a collaborative approach to achieving a low-carbon future.
