Airports in Mandalay (MDL) and Naypyidaw (NYT) remain closed due to damages. The first SAR and assessment teams are arriving to region using either arrival airports at Yangon, Bangkok or Chiang Mai and then arriving into affected areas overland. Operations into Yangon are per normal, but air capacity is limited to mostly Myanmar carriers and some carriers from ASEAN nations. Greater capacity into Thai airports.
