Significant impacts on global economy & fuel prices due to the Gulf crisis. Some African countries, including South Africa and Tanzania are reporting huge increases in fuel surcharges and cost of fuel – in the range of 30%-40% in some cases. Fuel surcharges are being added not only to air & ocean transport but also to overland / local trucking.
