Thousands were required to evacuate Labrador city due to wildfires this weekeend. Fires have burnt through 14,000 + acres . Evacuees have headed towards Goose Bay/Happy Valley (YYR/CYYR airport with 3300m runway). Cargo flights can land at YYR. Wabush (YWK) is closest airport to Labrador City & still open. Evac flights occurred this weekend.
