SPECIAL APPROVALS NEEDED FOR BUNIA LANDING ****Following the official communiqué of the Ministry of Transport, Communication Routes and Connectivity dated 23 May 2026 regarding temporary flight restrictions at Bunia, all partners wishing to operate humanitarian, medical, and emergency flights to and from Bunia are invited to submit their respective requests to the Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Social Welfare.

The waiver will only be granted in a purely humanitarian and medical context in order to support the Government of the Republic in responding to the 17th Ebola virus epidemic affecting this part of the country.

After validation by the Minister of Public Health, Hygiene and Social Welfare, the approved request will be forwarded for implementation to the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Transport, Communication Routes and Connectivity.
